What changed for 2026
The federal heat pump tax credit ended, but Connecticut's state rebates are still strong, and that is where most of the savings now come from.
- Federal 25C credit ended Dec 31, 2025. The federal tax credit of up to $2,000 for air-source heat pumps is no longer available for systems installed in 2026. (If you installed before that date, you may still be able to claim it on your taxes.)
- Connecticut rebates are the main opportunity now. Energize CT continues to offer meaningful per-ton heat pump rebates and other incentives for 2026, listed below.

Why working with an HPIN contractor matters
Energize CT heat pump rebates require installation by a contractor in the Heat Pump Installer Network. TruComfort is HPIN-registered, which means we can install to program standards and submit qualifying rebate applications on your behalf.

1. Qualify the Project
We size the system correctly, recommend ENERGY STAR Cold Climate equipment, and identify every rebate your home is eligible for.
2. Install to Program Standards
Installation is completed to the standards Energize CT requires so your rebate is not put at risk by paperwork or equipment technicalities.
3. Handle the Paperwork
We help prepare and submit the rebate documentation and keep you clear on deadlines and what to expect.
Rebate amounts, eligibility, and deadlines are current as of 2026 and are set by Energize CT and federal programs, not by TruComfort. Programs can change at any time. Always confirm current details on the official Energize CT pages linked above, and consult a tax professional regarding any federal tax credits.
